If you’ve been paying any attention to Crossfade’s occasional pre-show coverage of the MTV Video Music Awards, you’ve no doubt taken note of the fact that we consider Music Television to be a soul-sucking celebreality wasteland and its marquee annual event, the VMAs, to be a total joke that only gets shittier and shittier with every passing year.

Nevertheless, we watched the freaking thing. And as always, there were big winners and even bigger losers. Most of the action was about as predictable as our morning poop … Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Blah blah blah. But then Tyler the Creator‘s win in the Best New Artist category almost changed our whole attitude about the evening. Until we remembered it was just one of those cheap credebility grabs that MTV pulls off every decade and a half.

Now back to the crap! See the cut for the full results from last night’s MTV Video Music Awards.
