First the bad news: Local Latin alterna-rockers The Green Room are no more. The good news is they’ve been reborn as Mejia, named after frontman Jorge Mejia, and are introducing their latest album, Allá En El Monte, with a show at Power Studios (yes, that place) that’s being filmed for the MTV Español special A Todo Volumen with Mejia. The hard-jamming quartet, led by Mejia on vocals and keyboards, is offering physical copies of its new CD at live shows. You can also purchase it through digital download sites such as iTunes and Sony Connect. And you can still hear them the old-fashioned way — live.

If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of New Times, now’s the time to give back.
