Right now, Kylie Minogue, the Australian pop princess who burst onto the music scene in 1988 with "Locomotion," is chugging through her 2011 North American tour. But even though Miami ranks 15th on the Advocate's Gayest Cities in America list, the 305 didn't make Ms. Minogue's schedule. Instead, fans will have to hitch a ride to Sunrise's BankAtlantic Center this Saturday.
According to the Guardian, Minogue's tour, Les Follies, features a heart-shaped stage, a ton of dancers, eight acrobats, and 30 water fountains. The 42-year-old singer says it's "the most technologically advanced and extravagant stage that has ever been built to date." The show also focuses on Aphrodite, Minogue's 11th studio album, which was released in the summer of 2010 and debuted at the top of the UK Albums Chart. "The reaction to Aphrodite has been absolutely incredible," she told the Guardian, "and has inspired me and my creative team to develop a new show that will take all of us on a euphoric journey of joy, excitement, and glamour."
How much does a joyful, exciting, glamorous, and euphoric journey cost? Anywhere between $66.50 and $138.25 after fees.
