On this, Gene Simmons’ 60th birthday, the greatest gift any of us could give him is this: buy tickets to the upcoming Kiss tour. Unfortunately, there is not an exact date for when tickets go on sale, but the show will take place on October 22 at the BankAtlantic Center. After asking fans to log onto their website to vote on where they’ll be touring, it seems they’re going ahead and hitting every major city in North America. And why not, this year marks the 35th anniversary of their album KISS Alive. Gene and crew are promising every show on the tour will be at least “a 2 ½ hour set of some of rock’s greatest hits.” Wonder if that means they’ll be playing a bunch of cover songs? Most likely, that means you’ll hear all the KISS songs you can handle, both old and off their new album in eleven years: Sonic Boom. Buck Cherry will be opening.
