The challenges facing local news organizations are very real. That's why reader support matters more than ever. If you believe independent journalism matters, make a contribution today and help us reach our summer fundraising goal of $10,000 by August 9.
On my first day as a freshman in college in the mid-Nineties, I was greeted by the scent of patchouli, offers of LSD, and the sounds of the Grateful Dead. But by sophomore year, it was all Ecstacy, raves, and Josh Wink. It’s a testimony to his talent that producer/DJ Wink continues to be influential ten years on. Wink’s ever-morphing, minimalist house music served as a blueprint for trance, and his work with fellow Philly producer and long-time collaborator King Britt stands as some of the most timeless music that house has ever produced. Wink is currently touring in support of his latest compilation, Ovium: The Fall Collection. His show at Nocturnal will be a must for house fans, party people, and recovering hippies.
