You know that amazing dream where you're, like, chillin' on some supercomfy sofa in a swank hipster bar, and then former LCD Soundsystem frontman James Murphy just -- poof! -- magically appears outta nowhere, plops down beside you, and commences to shoot the shit while punctuating his sentences with wry smirks and half-laughs?
Well... that scenario is no longer just some wild sleeping fantasy! It's coming true! This weekend! As part of the inaugural III Points Festival!
The catch: If you really wanna live your dreams, you'll need to arrive extra-early this Saturday (say 5 p.m. sharp) for Mr. Murphy's Red Bull Music Academy Couch Session at Bardot. Because, as the III Points people tell us, admission is being granted on a "first-come, first-served basis."
Now, there aren't any particular topics skedded for the Couch Session.
But earlier this year, after celebrating the 12th anniversary of his label, DFA Records, by doin' the DJ thing in Brooklyn, Murphy conducted a similar conversation with the Red Bull folks.
So it's probably safe to expect chit-chat about the early days of DFA, the past (and future?) of LCD Soundsystem, and stuff like the indie-dance iconoclast's record collection.
Oh, and maybe he'll dole out some tips on how to realize your other dream.
You know, the one where you're, like, dancin' atop a fancy sofa in a swank hipster bar with James Murphy.
Although, maybe that'll have to wait till later on Saturday night, when Murphy will be doin' the DJ thing at III Points' Point Blank party with Jamie XX at Mana Wynwood.
Either way... don't be late!
