Bringing new relevance to the term “high seas,” the ninth installment of Jam Cruise, the floating music festival, will kick off January 4, 2011 from Fort Lauderdale.

Among the many acts promoting a positive groove for the five-day drift aboard the MSC Poesa to Roatan, Honduras and Costa Maya, Mexico, are Scaring the Children (Grateful Dead’s Bob Weir, with Rob Wasserman and Jay Lane), the Rhythm Devils (Bill Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart), Robert Randolph and the Family Band, Galactic, Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk, Sierra Leone’s Refugee All-Stars, Maceo Parker Super Jam, and Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears.

Check out the cruise’s full lineup here. Tickets go on sale June 2.
