So you've made plans for New Year's Eve. Now what's on your agenda for the other six days of the week? Here are a few choices: Tobacco Road (626 S. Miami Ave.) begins "The Last Damn Parade" on Thursday. In case December 31 really is the end of the world, here's your final chance to see more than 50 local bands and performers in one night. The likes of Rat Bastard, Humbert, the 18 Wheelers, Amanda Green, and a bunch more will hit the stage. Music begins at 9:00 p.m. Call 305-374-1198 for more information.

It's the year 2000, a strange Y2K bug hits, and bam -- you're gay! Or maybe you were born that way. In either case Sunday is a big party night. Amnesia (136 Collins Ave, Miami Beach) hosts Y2 Tea, another in a line of infamous early-evening soirees featuring DJs David Knapp and RA. The party starts at 6:00 p.m.and rolls till 5:00 a.m. Advance tickets cost $30 and are available at Whittall & Shon. Call 305-531-5535 for more information. If you've been waiting for a chance to check out the newly opened Crobar (1445 Washington Ave, Miami Beach), Sunday is the Genesis -- A New Beginning party. The bash benefits Dade Human Rights Foundation, which is a support organization for greater Miami's gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender community. DJ Mark Anthony is in the booth and tickets are available through Ticketmaster for $45 in advance or $55 at the door. Call 305-531-5027 for more information.

On New Year's Day you'll probably feel a little groggy. So the best thing to do is bite the dog that bit you. The best place for that is Groove Jet (323 23rd St, Miami Beach). Proprietors are giving us a break from six-dollar beers. An all-night open bar costs $50. Call 305-532-2002 for more information.
