American DJ/producer Ian Carey's longstanding career and massive commercial accolades speak for themselves. Carey enjoyed a meteoric rise to fame from the very start, when his 1993 debut release "Rise" (as one-half of production duo Soul Providers) took the US and Europe by storm, achieving Gold certification in the UK.
It was the auspicious start to an illustrious career that to date has seen him sell some 2 million records worldwide. Clearly sensing that his market lay less in the US and more in the EDM-loving European arena, Carey would spend the '00s working and touring in Europe and picking up even more international acclaim along the way.
With releases on top international labels like Defected, Ministry of Sound, Hed Kandi, Universal, and EMI, Carey would continue to top charts worldwide. In 2008, his Top 10 single "Get Shaky" achieved Double Platinum certification in Australia and Gold certification in New Zealand, while also taking an award for Best Dance Video at the 2009 MTV Australia Awards.
With his take on that boisterous fun-loving post-David Guetta pop-house sound, Ian Carey should find an eager South Beach party crowd awaits him for his Saturday, August 28 performance. Catch him there, along with resident DJ Chico Secci.
