Here's the latest variation in the ever-popular Guitar Hero competition circuit: a Hard-Rock-Cafe-sponsored bonanza focusing specifically on the game's all-Aerosmith edition. The Guitar Hero: Aerosmith Rocks the Hard Rock national tour takes place in 15 different cities; next Monday, July 21 marks the Miami date. And while the Seminole Hard Rock complex just across the county line gets all the publicity, this event is actually at the Hard Rock Cafe in Miami -- you know, the one in the back of Bayside that us locals usually forget about.

The top four scorers win a free trip to the national finals in Boston, which Steven Tyler promises to attend. The final winner of all that gets a grand prize of a Red Wing Guitar Hero: Aerosmith/Hard Rock Cafe motorcycle designed by Tyler himself.

To sign up, show up at the Hard Rock Cafe (401 Biscayne Blvd., Miami) next Monday at 7 p.m. to register; the competition begins at 9 p.m. It's free to enter, but you must be age 21 or older with ID. For more info call 305-377-3110 or visit http://www.guitarherogame.com/ghaerosmith/hardrocktour.
