Green Velvet, Hollywood Holt, Treasure Fingers This Weekend at Grand Central

We promise we'll stop writing about Grand Central when their bookings start to suck -- which doesn't seem to be happening any time soon. This weekend the downtown venue is packing another wallop of dance music.

Friday, Green Velvet, AKA Cajmere, will be returning to Miami hopefully bringing the "Shake & Pop" with him. Funny thing is, the last time we saw the Chicago DJ was at Poplife's Dirty Disco party at Pawn Shop Lounge (god, just felt so old typing that). Danny Daze will provide support while Lazaro Casanova and Jay-You will be out in the patio. Party is free with RSVP to [email protected], $10 after, or $15 without an RSVP.

The following night, Treasure Fingers is bringing those magic fingers to the turntables. The DJ/producer is perhaps best known for his track "Cross the Dancefloor" and for remixing tracks by Miike Snow, Empire on the Sun, Little Boots, and more.

Also performing live is hipster-hop MC Hollywood Holt. Resident DJs Mike Deuce, Jessica Who, Induce, and Benton will also be there to add to the mix. RSVP to [email protected] for reduce admission of $10 all night, otherwise its $15.
