Two of the biggest names in the genre are sharing the stage at the James L. Knight Center this Saturday, when Gilberto Santa Rosa and Victor Manuelle make a stop in Miami on their La Historia Continua tour. The two first made history when they united for the Dos Soneros, Una Historia tour back in 2001, which later resulted in a CD/DVD release of the same title.
They decided to recreate the magic this year. They kicked off a 12-city tour starting in Vancouver, of all places (I guess they like salsa in Canada, eh?), and will close out in their hometown of San Juan, Puerto Rico. Miami is only their second stop along the way, so we’ll be getting them fresh and rested, and afterwards they’ll be on their way to L.A., San Fran, Dallas and New York, among other cities.
Gilberto Santa Rosa and Victor Manuelle perform at the James L. Knight Center on Saturday, February 21st at 8 p.m. Tickets to the show are sold out, but feel free to check in at Stubhub or that guy in the Heat jacket on the corner of Brickell Ave.
