We’re gonna ball so hard the penultimate night of Hanukkah 2012. As soon as we’re done lighting the menorah and unwrapping our seventh present, we’re heading to Gryphon for a sweet night of techy prog house courtesy of the DJ List’s 120th best party jock, Funkagenda. “Huge love for my Florida fans [and] friends,” Funk wrote on his Facebook page following a recent (and evidently riveting) performance at West Palm Beach hot spot Monarchy. “Bro, you fucking ripped the decks last night,” commented fan Nico Ravecca. “Keep up the awesome work, man.” And indeed, since breaking onto the scene in the late ’00s, Funkagenda has kept up the “awesome work,” landing some of the most prestigious accolades in EDM. Among them are Beatport’s Best Tech House Track for his collaboration with Mark Knight, “Man With the Red Face,” in 2008, and DJ Mag‘s Breakthrough Artist of the Year in 2009. Happy Hanukkah, house heads!
