Nothing adds megawatts of hype to a South Florida appearance by tabloid twink Pete Wentz like a last-minute Boca ban. Initially, he and his fellow Fall Out Boys were planning to publicly flash their musical junk from the stage at Mizner Park. But now, their pop-punk exhibitionism has been relocated to the Pompano Beach Amphitheatre (1806 NE 6th St., Pompano Beach) with the City of Boca Raton stating: “There have been known disturbances associated with one of the bands, Fall Out Boy. We anticipate that the concert will generate security challenges.”

Other than the venue switch though, the details remain the same. Showtime is still this Tuesday, April 21st at 6:30 p.m. and all previously purchased passes will be honored at the door. Individual tickets ($38.50) as well as four-packs ($99) continue to be available through Livenation. And the full roster of scheduled guests–Metro Station, All Time Low, Cobra Starship, and Hey Monday–will appear as planned, followed by Pete and crew spanking their stuff for a roiling mob of tweens and overage Tiger Beat junkies. Umm, weird … Is anyone else’s leg hair standing on end? Maybe these guys are dangerous.
