We're officially balls-deep into summer and everyone is covered in a thin film of uncomfortable sweat. But despite the already-oppressive temps,Grand Central
is turning up the heat.
The Downtown Miami hangout just added three killer new shows to its end-of-summer and early-fall concert schedule, kicking things off with England's legendary Fake Blood on Saturday, August 11.
Next, GC keeps the beat moving on Saturday, September 1, with retro-electro king Kavinsky before rounding out the season with a performance from Temper Trap on Sunday, October 21.
The multi-talented Fake Blood will definitely get your rump shakin' when he storms the stage. A master mixer, prolific producer, and badass street artist, this guy is known for killing it with funk.
He hit the scene hard in 2007 with a string of hit remixes and originals. And though he's slowed his releases in recent months, word on the street is Fake Blood's putting together a new EP for summer, just in time for you to grab it and go to the show.

Meanwhile, anyone who's a fan of sex the Drive soundtrack should just cry themselves to sleep if they miss the rare opportunity to see Ed Banger's resident '80s zombie Kavinsky. His track "Nightcall," made famous as part of that film's soundtrack, captures the cinematic, electro-pop atmosphere of 30 years ago.
And finally, after all that awesomely retro bumping and grinding, Grand Central welcomes fall by bringing Aussie indie-rockers Temper Trap to the stage. These down-under post-punkers are out to support their new self-titled record, following up on 2009's breakthrough record Conditions, featuring the hit "Sweet Disposition."
