These days, the term underground gets thrown around a little too easily in the electronic dance music scene. Certainly not all DJs can boast the same sort of authentic subterranean cred as Christopher Milo, AKA DJ Three.

It's a relentless comittment to the musical cutting-edge at the expense of mainstream success that has made DJs like Milo truly underground. Which is not to say that Florida native Milo hasn't enjoyed his share of success in a career spanning almost three decades.

His long-standing Hallucination Limited club night in Tampa is still a major stop on the international circuit for heavyweights like Sasha, John Digweed, Laurent Garnier and Damian Lazarus. And he's also expanded Hallucination Limited into a label with a penchant for experimental house and techno by the likes of Rabit in the Moon, Terry Francis, and Sycophant Slags.

But it's Milo's style behind the decks that makes him a true underground tastemaker. His sets cover a wide spectrum of sounds, from minimal techno to deep progressive house with the one constant being that they will challenge listeners and blow minds on the dancefloor. Catch DJ Three when he throws down with the Un_Mute crew at Eve this Sunday.
