Support the independent voice of Miami and help keep the future of New Times free.

Everyone knows that Spam Allstars are the shit. They are, without a doubt, one of Miami's best homegrown acts. Stellar descargas spin out seemingly without end, a delectable torrent of Afro-Caribbean, Latin, funk, electronica and other treats all melded into one unified and supremely danceable groove.

As a group, they're unstoppable. But let's not forget their fearless leader, DJ Le Spam, who even on his own has some really serious chops. The mastermind behind the group will be dropping a DJ set at White Room tonight tomorrow night. Whether you're off for the holidays or just blowing off mornings at work this week because your boss is showing up drunk anyway, this is one not to be missed.

DJ Le Spam and EOTO Boom Box perform at White Room (1306 N. Miami Ave), Monday Tuesday, December 28 29. Tickets are $12 at the door.

Keep Miami New Times Free... Since we started Miami New Times, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Miami, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Miami with no paywalls.
