WTF, 1.8 Million people "like" Def Leppard on Facebook? And holy shit, another 800,000+ dig Poison?
No wonder these two glam metal giants are hitting the road together again; it'll be the biggest tour ever!
That's right, MILFS, "Great Britain's premiere arena rock band" and Rock of Love heartthrob Bret Michaels have teamed up for the Rock of Ages Tour, a 19-city summer trek across the two greatest damn countries in the world, the United States and Canada. And it all wraps up in our very own backyard, Sunrise.
For every fan Def Leppard has on Facebook, the group has sold at least 100 records. Multiply the two. That's over 100 million albums sold worldwide, about 99 million more than we expected.
While "Pour Some Sugar on Me" remains a Midwestern strip club anthem, our favorite Def Leppard track is a little ditty called "Foolin'" off the 1983 gem, Pyromania.
"Is anybody out there? Anybody there? / Does anybody wonder? Anybody care?"
That's some heavy shit, man. We're not "F-f-f-fooling'" here.
And Poison? Few American bands are as important to the 1980s' power ballad movement as these Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania cats. "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" is one of the greatest love songs all time, but "Something to Believe In," now that's fucking music.
