"Cosmic Twins" Derrick May & François K Play Nocturnal's Eden Terrace Garden on June 20

A heads up to Miami's techno lovers: Pornograph Events has one hell of

a double booking lined up for June, with legends Derrick May and

François K scheduled to play Nocturnal's Eden Terrace Garden on Saturday, June 20.

For those of you born yesterday, Derrick May is one of Detroit's

legendary Belleville Three, the trio that includes high school buddies

Juan Atkins and Kevin Saunderson and is credited with originating the

futuristic sound dubbed "techno" back in the mid-1980s. With a name

inseparable from the ongoing history and development of the techno

genre, May continues to produce and tour internationally,

performing his signature brand of "hi-tek soul" which blends

Parliament-style funk with robotic synth stylings inspired by Kraftwerk.

François Kevorkian is an NYC-based French transplant who played a pivotal

early role as DJ/producer at the Paradise Garage and Studio 54 in the late 1970s. His sound in the 2000s has

evolved from its early U.S. garage and deep house roots to an edgier take

on techno, electro, and dub. It rightfully complements Derrick May's

style while the twocontinue to tour together as Cosmic Twins. Any true techno

and house fan will recognize the significance of this show, which pays homage to three decades of

EDM. Get yourr ass down to the Terrace that night, no excuses! Stay tuned for ticket info coming up closer to the date.

Cosmic Twins at Eden Terrace Garden. Saturday, June 20, 10 p.m.- 6 a.m. Nocturnal, 50 NE 11 St., Miami.
