More jam news for you to go with today’s Phish announcement. You know that Galactic show scheduled at Revolution on January 9? Well it just got a whole lot better with JJ Grey and Mofro being added to the set. The Florida based swamp-rock studs will open the show, leaving Phish heads 8 days to recover from New Years Eve to make it to Revolution in time. Tickets are available now through Ticketmaster.
Karl Denson, the funky jazz saxophonist, has announced a date at Culture Room. On January 8, the former member of Lenny Kravitz’s band will be bringing his own group of jazzed out funkers to South Florida. Joining Denson in the Tiny Universe are Ron Johnson, Chris Littlefield, Brian Jordan, David Veith, and John Staten. It’s a veritable supergroup of underground jam bands. Tickets are available now through Ticketmaster.
