Country outlaw Chris Stapleton has postponed his highly anticipated shows at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida, originally scheduled for Friday, October 10, and Saturday, October 11, citing a bout of bronchitis.
The Kentucky-born singer-songwriter announced the news on Instagram late Thursday, explaining that he’s on doctor-mandated vocal rest. “To all my friends in Hollywood, FL, I am very sorry to let you all know I am battling bronchitis and am unable to perform this weekend’s shows,” he wrote. “We appreciate your patience and understanding and look forward to seeing you next year.”
Fans were quick to flood the comments with messages of support. “So bummed but we hope you feel better soon!!! We’ll be praying for your recovery! ❤️🩹 Can’t wait for January!,” one follower wrote. Another added, “Hope you get better soon, Mr. Chris. The light you carry means a lot to us. 🤠💚🇸🇦🇺🇸”
Stapleton’s All-American Road Show Tour will resume next year, with the Hollywood dates rescheduled for Friday, January 10, and Saturday, January 11, 2025. Tickets for the original Friday show will now be honored on Saturday, January 11, and tickets for the original Saturday show will be valid on Friday, January 10. Fans unable to attend the new dates have until Monday, November 10, to request a refund through their point of purchase.
Before becoming a torchbearer for modern outlaw country, Stapleton was a behind-the-scenes force in Nashville, working on hits for Kenny Chesney, Luke Bryan, and Darius Rucker. After fronting bands like the SteelDrivers and the Jompson Brothers, he launched a solo career with Traveller in 2015, which climbed to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and has since been certified six-times platinum. He has collaborated with super stars across different genres, including Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, and Taylor Swift. With Grammy wins, blockbuster collaborations, and a voice that blends grit and soul, Stapleton continues to shape the sound of country music from the inside out, and we can’t wait to see him back in South Florida next year.
