Next month, Chance the Rapper will be in town for Miami Art Week — and not just to snatch up some art and attend parties. He'll showcase "Writings on the Wall," an immersive art-meets-listening experience event to tease his upcoming project, Star Line.
Chances has previously brought the experience to cities like New York, Los Angeles, and New Orleans. This will be the first time it stops in Miami.
It's being teased as an event that "reimagines how music and art can be experienced... These curated spaces blend art, music, film, and emotion, creating immersive environments that encourage fans to disconnect from their phones and fully engage with the music and visuals around them."
The experience will take place December 3-6, with tickets available for $80 via chancestuff.com/writings-on-the-wall.
"Writings on the Wall" is expected to be more than just a listening party. It will be a new way for fans of Chance and his music to experience Star Line alongside large-scale artwork and cinematography made for the album. Attendees will sprawl out on oversized bean bags and be given journals to write their thoughts and opinions on the music and experience as it occurs. In addition to listening to unreleased music, fans will also have the opportunity to purchase Star Line merchandise.
Chance the Rapper's "Writings on the Wall: A Star Line Listening Experience." 3, 6, and 9 p.m. Tuesday, December 3; Wednesday, December 4; and Friday, December 6; and 1 p.m. Thursday, December 5; at Wynwood Studios, 567 NW 27th St.; Miami; chancestuff.com/writings-on-the-wall. Tickets cost $80 via eventnoire.com.
