Catch Benoit & Sergio, Robert James, Spam Allstars, and Others at Electric Pickle This Saturday

Summer is here. And at Wynwood dance music emporium the Electric Pickle that means extended daytime hours, bigger lineups, and parties out on the patio.

To kickstart its new weekly summer sessions, the Pickle is hosting a veritable musical extravaganza this Saturday with a couple of serious headliners and a whole slew of local favorites.

At the top of the bill is sensational Washington D.C. duo Benoit & Sergio, whose releases on the acclaimed Visionquest imprint catapulted them to the top of the EDM charts earlier this year. They boast a uniquely lyrical, melancholy take on dance music that's equal parts edgy electronica and '80s loverboy pop.

Then there's hotly-tipped UK DJ-producer Robert James, a card-carrying member of Jamie Jones and Lee Foss's Hot Creations family. Like his label consorts, James specializes in an incendiary brand of deep twisted future funk designed to hijack any dancefloor.

DJ support comes from a massive lineup of local regulars including Will Renuart, Tomas of Aquabooty, Inbal, Brad Strickland and Alejandro Sab. And offering some respite from the four-on-the-floor beats, Latin funk favorites Spam Allstars will be throwing down too.

The action starts at 5 p.m. and there will be intermittent open bar and drink specials offered, so make sure you get there early.

Benoit & Sergio, Robert James, Spam Allstars and others. Saturday, June 4. Electric Pickle, 2826 N. Miami Ave., Miami. The party starts at 5 p.m. Call 305-456-5613 or visit electricpicklemiami.com.
