Calle 13 Announces Rescheduled Miami Show at BankUnited Center September 24

Originally, Calle 13 and its army of guerilla street soldiers were scheduled to invade the 305 for Memorial Day weekend.

And back in April, Crossfade got so hyped up about the possibility of joining Residente and Visitante's campaign of sonic warfare and outright social rebellion that we were screaming, "Entren los que quieran!," for days. But then we got word that the Trece Army's advance had been stalled and its May 27 concert was canceled.

At the time, the Rogers & Cowan agency assured us that the Miami gig would be rebooked. And while we were skeptical, it turns out that those flacks weren't just doing damage control 'cause Calle 13 has just rescheduled its 305 invasion for September 24.

Technically, this SoFla assault won't be part of Residente and Visitante's US tour, which ends May 29 in Vegas. It will actually get underway a few weeks after the Puerto Rican tag team flies back to the Western Hemisphere from a recently announced 18-date European blitz.

So, let's just hope Calle 13 has enough time to clear its collective head between reentering American airspace and seizing the BankUnited's stage. No one wants to go to war with a head full of jet lag.

Calle 13. Saturday, September 24. BankUnited Center, 1245 Dauer Dr., Coral Gables. The invasion starts at 8 p.m. and tickets go on sale Friday, May 27 for $40 to $60 plus fees via Call 305-284-8686 or visit
