If you weren’t aware, producer-DJ A-Trak and Chromeo frontman Dave 1 are brothers. We don’t mean, like, pals … actual blood-related brothers. Both were born in Montreal, but A-Trak went on to become Kanye West’s touring DJ and later a well-known producer. Dave 1, on the other hand, took a stab at reinventing ’80s new wave with plenty of funk and electro in the mix
So what damage could they cause together as the Brothers Macklovitch during their December 4 party at Grand Central? You’ll have to attend to figure that out. But with their packed resumes, the output is probably going to be amazing.
The Basel party is being put on by BlackBook magazine and the ominous Mr. X (we’ll reveal that little tibit soon). Also on the bill is Blu Jemz. Tickets are available now via Flavorus for $25. Party is for those of drinking age only and starts at 10 p.m.
