Life’s hard in between seasons of Game of Thrones. Luckily, South Florida fans of the show will have something to quench their thirst while we wait for our Sunday night programming to return to its former glory.
A Game of Thrones concert will be touring the states, traveling to 28 cities throughout February, March, and April. The concert will stop at Sunrise’s BB&T Center on March 11, and tickets go on sale August 13 via livenation.com.
The show will be a live musical recap of all six seasons of the fantasy series and will feature GoT’s actual composer, Ramin Djawadi, backed by a live orchestra and choir. The concert, according to a press release, “will use innovative music tour production and video technology that will recreate the various realms found throughout Westeros and Essos as well as showcase footage from the show in addition to all new imagery created exclusively for the tour.”
It all sounds cool — if a little vague — but honestly, these days all it takes to get people jazzed up are the words “Game of Thrones.” It’s become modern culture’s Pavlov’s bell.
