Is anyone excited about Better Than Ezra coming to the Culture Room on July 11? The most prolific song they’ve made since 1993 is “Juicy”, which was played incessantly during Desperate Housewives promos a few years back. Deluxe, the band’s best-selling album thanks to the single “Good”, was released over 15 years ago, and not one of the next seven albums seemed to make much noise, no matter how much they changed their sound. Still, it’s heartening to see Ezra still sticking it out, despite the criticisms of bitter bloggers. Oh and Tyrone Wells is opening the 8 p.m.show, so $20 gets you two bands.
