Premio Lo Nuestro, the awards show organized by Univision, celebrates the biggest moments in Latin music. Known for its signature magenta carpet, the ceremony once again took place at Miami’s Kaseya Center, home of the Miami Heat. Fresh off his Super Bowl performance and after winning Album of the Year at the Grammys, it was no surprise that superstar Bad Bunny took home top honors in the most important categories, including Artist of the Year, Album of the Year for Debí Tirar Más Fotos, and Song of the Year for “DtMF,” for a total of six awards. Benito could not attend the ceremony as he is currently on tour.

Following closely was Mexican singer-songwriter Carín León, who took home five awards, including Song of the Year – Música Mexicana for “El Amor De Mi Herida,” Male Artist of the Year – Música Mexicana, and Crossover Collaboration of the Year for “Lost In Translation” with Kacey Musgraves, among others. Karol G, Shakira, and Cazzu were also among the night’s winners.

The performances were nothing short of memorable. Marc Anthony and Nathy Peluso performed their salsa collaboration “Como en el idilio” live for the first time. Maluma and Kany García also took the stage. Tokischa made a striking entrance atop a mechanical bull, seductively singing “Ridin.” Thalía delivered her rendition of ABBA’s classic “Dancing Queen,” among many other standout moments.

Editor's Picks

A highlight of the night came when Romeo Santos took the stage to receive his Tropical Artist of the Year award. He used the opportunity to clarify his stance regarding deportation policies under President Donald Trump’s administration after facing criticism over comments made in a recent interview.

“I won’t always have the perfect speech, and sometimes I’ll be asked questions where my answers may not meet expectations. But my heart knows what it feels, and those who know me understand that I always advocate for my Latino community,” the bachata superstar said. “Recently, I made the mistake of thinking that after 28 years of career, almost everyone knew my position in favor of immigrants in this country. Unfortunately, some didn’t get the memo, so I’ll say it clearly from this stage: There is no organization or department of any kind that harms my Latino community that will have my respect.”
