You wouldn't think right off the bat of the Upstairs at the Van Dyke for a venue in which to enjoy the energetic, infectious and heavily rhythmic amalgam that is Bachaco's music. But then again, Lanzallamas Monofonica will be taking the same stage one night prior, and it's not their first time at the venue. Let's hope the foundation is REALLY solid.

Assuming the floor does hold up on Friday, Bachaco's promises to be a great show at the intimate spot, where the band will ignite the Upstairs with the passionate flares of Latin, cumbia, funk, hip hop and rock, and lay down the perfect backdrop for some mellowing in between with their easy-as-Sunday-morning reggae riffs.

Bachaco performs Upstairs  at the Van Dyke Café on Saturday, August 29. No cover.
