Artimus Pyle is the Kentucky born double-bass drum monster that rocked with a Jacksonville band by the name of Lynyrd Skynyrd until their plane fell out of the sky killing singer/songwriter Ronnie Van Zant, the heart and soul of the band. Artimus Pyle survived and was lauded as a hero for actions that helped other survivors.

Catch Artimus Pyle and his Artimus Pyle Band on March 28 at Homestead’s Fruit and Spice Park. They will be playing Lynyrd Skynyrd classics. Also performing are the Usual Suspects and the Strictly Business Band. The show goes from 12 to 6 p.m. and Artimus Pyle Band wil perform at 4 p.m.. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased through ticketmaster or by calling the park at 305-247-5727.
