Hailing from a Land Down Under, the men of Art vs. Science have quickly claimed both commercial and critical success in their native Australia.

Now, the trio is looking to replicate its achievements in America. The band's US invasion kicked off in March with the release of the Magic Fountain EP, which showcases its affinity for the dance-rock genre with crunchy guitar riffs and hard snythy beats.

The title track sounds like something that could have come out of Daft Punk's Human After All era. But there are also hints of New Wave, such as the "Hey! Ho!" chorus of "Flipper."

The next stage of Art vs. Science's American conquest -- a 14-date US tour -- launches tonight at the Electric Pickle as the band makes its proper Miami debut.

Tickets are still available for $10 via wantickets.com. Online sales end at 5 p.m. today.
