Now, after ten years in limbo, the godfathers of emo have reunited. Far from sounding outdated, however, the San Francisco group’s new album, Love Songs for Patriots, reveals a band whose majestic blend of jazz and roots rock seems tailor-made for the times. It should be quite a thrill to see all the original members together again in an intimate setting.
