$10,000

This past year has been a whirlwind for Dutch electronic music producer and techno-house DJ Afrojack, AKA Van de Wall.

In addition to endlessly touring the US and sitting on a treasure trove of unreleased tracks, including collaborations with Tiesto, Steve Aoki, and Omarion, the international party maestro has landed some major crossover success in the form of two — count em, two — MTV Video Music Award nominations for Pitbull’s “Give me Everything” and Chris Brown’s “Look At Me Now.”

On August 6, Miami gets a taste of Afrojack’s unwavering momentum as de Wall will be unleashing bona fide bangers at South Beach megaclub Mansion.

You know the deal: The women are beautiful and the men smell like designer suitcases. Thick globs of pomade run down sweaty foreheads. But no one cares, because Afrojack is pumping meaty Mortal Kombat jams through the state-of-the-art soundsystem. And goddamn, you feel cooler than Sub-Zero. Those amphetamines are finally kicking in, making you clench your teeth like a hogtied gator. Now, all together, fists pumping in the air … Uhhntz, uhhntz, uhhntz.

Afrojack. Saturday, August 6. Mansion, 1235 Washington Ave., Miami Beach. The party starts at 11 p.m. and tickets cost $100 plus fees via wantickets.com. Ages 21 and up. Call 305-532-1525 or visit mansionmiami.com.
