It’s the final countdown. Gramps announced back in October that it would be closing the doors of its Wynwood location after 13 years. While it was initially communicated that the closure would happen sometime in early January, as of yesterday, it’s official: January 4 will be the final day. But don’t panic — there are still plenty of chances to catch one last band, laugh through a comedy set, or sip a Penicillin at the bar.

In a previous interview with New Times, owner Adam Gersten confirmed that Gramps Getaway, the sister location on the Rickenbacker Causeway, will absorb some of the Wynwood venue’s signature programming. “We’ve improved our stage at Gramps Getaway,” he told us. “Around December, we’ll start booking more bands.” That programming, he added, will keep the original spirit alive: “More DJs, funk, esoteric stuff outdoors, industrial and New Wave in the indoor room.”

“Gramps started simple, and it evolved into many things,” Gersten reflected. “Gramps Getaway is really Gramps in its final form.”

But instead of focusing on the future, let’s stay grounded in the now. There are still 17 days left to enjoy a concert, catch a comedy show, or have fun at a drag night. Here’s the full lineup of what’s left.
