2 Live Crew at the Stage Miami October 7

Until 1989, being horny was nobody's business, and you didn't go around telling people how hard your dick was. But then 2 Live Crew dropped As Nasty as They Wanna Be, and "Me So Horny" topped the Billboard Hot Rap Tracks chart. Within weeks, the entire nation was singing, "You can say I'm desperate, even call me perverted/But you say I'm a dog when I leave you fucked and deserted/I'll play with your heart just like it's a game/I'll be blowing your mind while you're blowing my brains." Now fast-forward two decades and the 2 Live dudes are still hoping to "pop, pop that pussy, baby." Well, most of them anyway. Former Miami mayoral candidate Luther Campbell is no longer a full-time member of the group. (These days, he writes for New Times.) But Brother Marquis and Fresh Kid Ice are still repping the nasty life, each and every night. So don't be surprised when you're asked to "bend over and spread 'em" at the Stage.
