The Speakeasy Lounge

In the midst of the Lake Worth downtown scene is the Speakeasy Lounge, a newer venue for live music, burlesque shows, or a drink with friends. Upon entering, you'll be greeted by a long narrow bar illuminated by dimly lit lanterns. The walls are adorned in Prohibition-era photographs and artwork from the local scene. A pool table sits in a corner, providing for some friendly drinking competition. Pass through the narrow front room and into a wider space that holds a small tiki bar and well-sized stage. Tables and chairs are scattered about, and stickers from local and touring acts decorate the walls in CBGB style. From hip-hop to rock ’n’ roll, the band bookings are quite eclectic. There is never a shortage of liquor or beer to go around. Open until 4 a.m. and voted Best New Bar in Palm Beach by New Times, this watering hole is definitely not one to skip out on.
