Super Subs

There is nothing quite like a savory hoagie overloaded with our favorite meats and veggies to halt those midday hunger pains. The founders of Super Subs seem to have our hearts in mind. The joint has been serving up more than 50 varieties of submarine sandwiches since 1977 with the intent of giving you some well-earned heartburn. Choices include the midnight madness (which incorporates steak, jalapeño, and cherry and banana peppers topped with hot sauce) and the chicken breast supreme (mushrooms, green peppers, cauliflower, carrots, broccoli, grilled onions, BBQ sauce, and cheese smothered over pollo rico). Or you can take the easy route with more familiar, safer bets like the corned beef, pastrami, and Philly cheesesteak subs, which you can have in six-inch or 12-inch varieties on white or whole wheat. For a few extra bucks you can double up on the meats or order some sides (onion rings, seasoned or regular French fries, potato or macaroni salad, and cheese sticks).
