Master's Italian Restaurant

Good inexpensive restaurants in South Beach are something of an oxymoron, but if you're on the Beach and hungry for tasty, budget-friendly pizza and pasta, you'd be downright stupid not to check out Master's. Pizzas come with a variety of toppings and in many guises (deep-dish, Sicilian, calzone, stromboli), but it's the crust that makes the pie; thin, cracker-crisp, yet pleasantly chewy around the edges, it's a thing of culinary beauty. Pastas are good too, whether an achingly rich, creamy-cheesy pesto with shrimp and penne or a surprisingly well-balanced lasagna. Tiramisu is dense and rustic but perfectly adequate. Just think how smart you are for dining on the Beach so cheaply.
