Your Guide to Vegan Thanksgiving in Miami

Thanksgiving is just days away, and if you’re not the slave-over-a-hot-stove type but still want to impress your friends and family with mouthwatering vegan food, take comfort in the fact that there are several Miami locales you can turn to.

The city’s best cruelty-free restaurants and bakeries offer items for takeout, so you can incorporate some professionally made dishes into your home holiday spread. And though there aren’t a lot of vegan options for eating out, there’s at least one spot where you can score a peaceful feast. 

From pies to cupcakes to sin tres leches — Miami’s vegan eateries are on it for “Thanksliving.” Here’s what’s available in the 305 for holiday deliciousness: 

Bunnie Cakes
Miami’s beloved bakery offers a lineup of tasty desserts for the big day. Choose from pumpkin pie ($32 vegan/ gluten-free), apple pie ($32 vegan/gluten-free), and sweet potato pie ($32 vegan/gluten-free); a two-layer turkey cake in either maple chocolate chip, chocolate, or pumpkin spice ($54 vegan, $59 gluten-free); sin tres leches ($35 vegan, $40 vegan and gluten-free); mini pies in sweet potato, pumpkin, or apple ($27 vegan/gluten-free) or 12 mini cupcakes in pumpkin spice, apple pie, very vanilla, chocolate, guava, and red velvet ($27 vegan, $29 vegan and gluten-free). Jugofresh
The famous juicery is reintroducing its raw holiday pies created by chef Darren Laszlo. These include raw key lime with coconut flakes and chlorella dusting, raw chocolate chip derby with chickpea cookie dough and raspberry coulis, and raw pumpkin with superberry pumpkin-seed crunch. The pies cost $32 each and are available to order through Tuesday, November 24, to pick up Wednesday, November 25. The  pies can be ordered in any store location or via email at holidaypies@jugofresh.com. 
Choices Cafe
Though all Choices locations will be closed Thanksgiving, the popular chain of eateries offers a couple of seasonal selections — a pumpkin spice cold-brew latte and a pumpkin whoopie pie. They’re also offering pumpkin pies for pickup Wednesday, November 25. They cost $25 and can be ordered through Sunday, November 22, by calling any Choices location. 

Full Bloom Gourmet Vegan 
The waterfront spot (perfect for special occasions and holidays, by the way) will have a fixed menu with a choice of three starters, three main courses, and three desserts for $40.
