It’s starting to look a lot like Basel. Murals are going up, artists are finishing up their work, and restaurants are prepping for the madness that’s up ahead.

Located at the heart of Wynwood Walls, Wynwood Kitchen & Bar has created new dishes and cocktails for this arty week. Short Order was recently invited to sample their offerings. Check out pictures of the edible art after the jump.

Cocktail additions include a special drink that pays tribute to the visionary behind Wynwood, the late Tony Goldman. The Tony G. ($13) combines Bulleit red bourbon, spiced lemonade, Drambuie, and rosemary.

The caldo gallego ($9) is more chili than traditional white bean soup. Chorizo and collard greens add a welcome kick.

Fish skewers change depending on availability. We sampled tuna doused in a remoulade sauce.

The octopus Greek salad ($12) blends the standard flavors of a Greek salad and adds crustaceans and Mexican oregano.

The chipotle glazed shrimp tacos ($9) are a light and refreshing option. The dish brings two tacos served in corn tortillas with lettuce, tomatoes, and pickled peppers.

48-hour crispy pork ($14) and white cheddar chipotle grits is perfectly plated and looks like a work of art.

Marinated duck breast ($16) is served rare at the center and topped with carrots, peanuts, cilantro, bok choy stems, and nuoc cham sauce.

Things will change up in January. Then you can expect sautéed clams, tequeños, and tuna ceviche with watermelon lime sauce.
