It’s not the humidity, it’s the heat.
Miami Heat, that is. At the Oasis Pool Bar at the posh Mandarin Oriental on Brickell Key, that is. Well, okay, it’s not the live in person Miami Heat, but the chance to watch the Holy Trinity and their supporting cast on big-screen TVs amid the kind of uber-the-top luxury fit for a king (or even King James).
From 5 to 10 p.m. for the Heat’s home and away games the Pool Bar becomes a classy, bayside sports bar, complete with $15 buckets of beer and a list specialty cocktails like the Miami Heat Margarita (made with jalapeno-infused tequila ) and Sake Cabana (made with wasabi-spiked sake).
Of course, there’s an upscale sports bar food menu (priced from $8 to $17) too, featuring such goodies of Kobe beef sliders, corvina ceviche with tostones, three different quesadillas, buffalo chicken wings and herbed Parmesan fries with truffle aioli.
Oh, yeah, and the humidity.
