Umami Burger, the California chain with an impassioned fan base, is opening the doors to its first Miami Beach location at 1080 Alton Road this Friday, May 10 at 11 a.m.
This Umami will not only be the first in South Florida, it will also be the first Umami on the east coast.
Umami was voted “Burger of the Year” by GQ magazine and is a favorite with celebrities.
The chain, named after the “fifth taste”, grinds their own Wagyu meat in-house daily in addition to producing their own condiments and cheeses.
Each location serves its own unique menu, customized for the neighborhood it’s located in. Though some items may change, expect to feast on items like the classic Umami Burger with shiitake mushroom, caramelized onions, roasted tomato, parmesan crisp, umami ketchup; a vegetarian Earth Burger made with a mushroom & edamame patty, white soy aioli, truffled ricotta, cipollini onions, lettuce, and slow-roasted tomato; and a Manly Burger with beer-cheddar cheese, smoked salt-onion strings, and bacon lardon.
South Beach will also get an exclusive Cubano Burger, made with a pork and pork belly patty, mojo mustard, house cheese, pickles, proscuitto, and smoked ham.
Umami Burger will be open Sunday -Thursday from 11 a.m. -11p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. – midnight. Expanded hours will be coming soon.
