The Hoxton Miami has closed.
Just this year, the lounge was recognized for having the best cocktails in Miami New Times‘ Best Of issue, but well crafted drinks and a lively atmosphere apparently couldn’t keep the two-level lounge/club alive.

The lounge abruptly closed, leaving the following message on Twitter:

At New Times, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $17,500 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $30,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of New Times, now’s the time to give back.
According to a public relations representative, the Hoxton was recently sold by Vassili Group LLC to an undisclosed buyer. The closing of the “urban beach house” was deemed “an investment decision.” Box Park was not sold and will remain open. No further information is known.
An anonymous source tells us that Hoxton employees were given no notice as to the closing of the mega lounge. Indeed, as early as yesterday, the Hoxton was touting its big vampire ball and zombie apocalypse parties:
