Queer Eye For the Straight Guy and Iron Chef America alum
The appearance is part of Sweet Dreams,”>
a series of celeb-chef appearances honeyed by the addition of an
unlimited spread of tasty desserts. Allen will be chatting with press
mostly at tonights 6 p.m. event. But Saturday at 6 p.m. he’ll be
mingling with everyfolk too, shaking hands, kissing babies, and pumping
the crap out of his book.
Now, Allen isn’t exactly a chef – he
grew to fame as a writer, actually. So there’s a chance that his book
is not completely ghost written, like many other celebrity cookbooks.
Seriously, there are so many of these books doing terrible, terrible
things out there. They should be rounded up Fahrenheit 451 style and
used to do something possitive, like made into sustainable housing or
turned into celeb chef effigies and set on fire. I like the later
better. Anyway, what I’m saying is Allen’s book could actually
be good. I’ll ask him all about it and more tonight, and post what he
says next week. Now I just need to find something to wear.
