Keep Miami New Times Free

SushiSamba is expanding its brand in Miami with the opening of SushiSamba Coral Gables. The third Miami-area restaurant in the chain (parent company Samba Brands also owns Sugarcane Raw Bar Grill in midtown) will open inside the Westin Colonnade Hotel in April.
The 6,500-square-foot restaurant will feature a lounge, two bars, outdoor dining, and an event space. It will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. In addition, the new location will offer a weekend brunch featuring exotic juices and freshly baked breads.
The eatery will serve much the same fare as the Lincoln Road
location. Expect to see a fusion of Japanese, Brazilian, and Peruvian
flavors — sometimes in the same dish. For example, many of the
signature samba rolls build on traditional sushi by adding tropical fruits
and spices.
SushiSamba is known for its
signature cocktails (and some of the tastiest mojitos and caipirinhas
we’ve encountered), so expect to drink some classic cocktails and exotic
spirits such as shochu, pisco, and cachaça, in addition to one of the
largest premium sake selections in Florida.
