If you’ve secretly yearned for a California roll as you drive through Kendall or North Miami Beach. your prayers have been answered. The Red Koi Gourmet Food Truck will make its debut this weekend at Carnaval on the Mile.
Food to be served by the Red Koi truck includes California rolls, spicy tuna rolls, shrimp tempura rolls, veggie rolls and dragon rolls. All cost between $5 and $9. Sushi boxes range from $7 to $9.50.
There will also be fried rice and pad Thai, both between $5.50 and $8.50. Appetizers include edamame, shrimp shumai, spring rolls and satay. The Wontonamera – six pieces of fried wonton with cream cheese and guava paste, sounds like a great way to end a meal.
“Red Koi clients can’t get enough of our food and fun, so what better way to combine these two elements than by going mobile?” said Mitchel Gomila, partner at Red Koi Thai & Sushi Lounge in Coral Gables.
The red 26-foot truck will display menus on two plasma screens and will feature a picture window so customers can see the sushi chef in action.
