Well, things are certainly sexing up at Solea, the über-posh Spainiterranean eatery at the tony W South Beach.
Slurp your way through a menu of new cocktails devised by W’s Living Room lounge bartender Tommy Merolla, which sniff at your plain-Jane vermouths and bitters and simple syrups with mixological fixin’s like aloe vera gel, lavender gin, strawberry yuzu and vodka flavored with bison grass.
If you haven’t had one already, try a Summer Fling (tequila, pineapple and lime juices, agave nectar and cilantro) or pick a Wild Flower (lavender gin, strawberry yuzu, orange blossom honey, basil and bitters). These puppies will set you back 14 bucks, but at least you won’t have to choke down one more goddam Sex on the Beach.
