$7,500

Saturday’s Grand Tasting Village at the South Beach Wine & Food Festival saw thousands of people flock to Miami Beach’s white sands to sip wine, watch culinary demos by Rachael Ray, Geoffrey Zakarian, Emeril Lagasse, and Andrew Zimmern and chow down on some of the best bites they’ve ever had from 40 of the finest restaurants in town — each outdoing each other to compete for the coveted New Times’ Best Bite on the Beach award.

The award is chosen by GTV attendees, who vote for the best bite they enjoyed at bitesonthebeach.com.

The votes have been tabulated and Saturday’s winning restaurant is Fort Lauderdale’s American Social, which recently opened a Brickell outpost.

If you’re heading out to the Grand Tasting Village today, be sure to vote for your favorite restaurant at bitesonthebeach.com and read the New Times to find out which restaurant earned Sunday’s Best Bite on the Beach title.
