Michael Symon’s Fat Doug burger might have been a crowd pleaser at last year’s South Beach Wine & Food Festival Burger Bash, taking home the Amstel Light People’s Choice Award, but when it came time for celebrity chefs to vote, the win went to Shake Shack for its ShackMeister burger.

The sandwich, a Shake Shack cheeseburger topped with crisp marinated shallots and ShackSauce, was introduced to the public at the Burger Bash, where it received rave reviews. Alas, fans of the burger were disappointed to learn it wasn’t available at their local Shake Shack.

The burger palace is rectifying that little problem with a 2015 New Year’s resolution that beef fans can get behind.

The ShackMeister burger is now available at all Shake Shack restaurants (except for JFK airport locations) for a limited time. The ShackMeister burger costs $6.19 for a single and $8.99 for a double and is the first burger introduced by the company since its SmokeShack in 2012.

Sounds like an excuse to take a big, beefy bite out of the new year.
