Independent Journalism in Miami Needs You
We need to raise $10,000 by August 9 to support the reporting our community depends on. Reader support keeps us independent and is playing a larger role in funding local journalism and shaping what comes next. If you believe independent local journalism matters, make a contribution today.
May first is the date set for the debut of Quattro Gastronomia Italiana‘s Sosta Pizzeria (1025 Lincoln Road, Miami, 305-722-5454).
Sosta means “a quick stop”, which is all it should take for a taste of pizza meister Carmine Leocata’s Neapolitan and Roman-style pies. The pizza toppings will be numerous and mostly familiar, but the Morello Forni Italian rotating brick oven that the pies get baked in is quite distinctive — one of only two in the U.S.
Antipasti (salumi, charcuterie, small pasta plates, etc.), some 75 wines, draft beers (including Peroni) and cocktails will also be on tap. The rustic 45-seater (with room for 100 more outdoors) was designed by Studio A Design, which also did Quattro’s interior.
